[FREE] 1/250 Whiskey III-Class Papermodel

A successor of Soviet Navy S-class submarine as the result of lessons learnt during WWII and captured German submarine technology, Whiskey-class is Soviet's most produced submarine and also most produced post-WWII submarine class with 236 boats finished.

12 of these boats ends up under Indonesian Navy service since late 1950's as Tjakra-class (not to be confused by later Cakra-class which is Type 209  submarine from Germany). One of the boat, KRI Pasopati is now preserved as museum ship in Surabaya

To commemorate Indonesian Navy anniversary (Hari Armada) which is today. I decided to share this model for free. The model is pretty simple and straightforward (since i literally model this ship in one sitting) but i included a little instruction page.

1/350 KM Labobar Papermodel

Built in 2004 by Meyer Werft GmbH, Germany, KM (stands for Kapal Motor, Motor Vessel) Labobar is PT. PELNI's one of the largest ship with the total length of 146,5 meter.

Also one of the largest papermodel i've designed (or even the largest not including some rifle papermodel i've scratchbuilt last year) as a commission work, the client only allowed the release of build progress photos and its tesbuild result so i can't share the model pattern.

a "blueprint" for the ship which i draw manually for some reason.
3D render of the ship on sketchup, i draw the details like window, railings, and containers later after i took the screenshoot.

build progress, i only took photos of the hull, forgot the rest of it.

testbuild result, turned out there's some fault on the model, already rectified though.

[FREE] 1/800 Sverdlov Class Light Cruiser Papermodel

Sverdlov Class (Project 68bis), built in 1950-s were the last gun cruiser of the Soviet Navy. While provided with modern radar and anti-aircraft gun Soviet Union had to offer, they were already rendered obsolete by the entry of service with the advent of missile age. Of the planned 40 ships of the class, only 14 completed and remained in service until the 80s.

One of the ship, Ordzhonikidze, was sold to Indonesia in 1963 and renamed IRIAN in 1963 in preparation of  impending invasion of West Papua with the main task of hunting down Dutch aircraft carrier Karel Doorman.

Actually this model pattern were made as somekind of an study, since i'm still trying on SketchUp and Inkscape, due to such "experimental" nature of the model, there is no assembly instruction available, but you can see the photos from the tesbuild phase as a reference. As for the cannon part, i use  0,3 mm mechanical pencil lead.
